With more than 25 years of professional work experience in writing, I bring a veritable global familiarity and proficiency to the workplace. With a variety of technical writing projects, newspaper articles, American and British education curriculum writing, and a children’s book currently being finalized – structure and format is my forte. I’ve written several technical pieces involving usability and user-centered design, manual and instructions, single-sourcing, and UX design. I was a journalist for Gannett Co., Inc. in Cincinnati, OH, before operating a copy writing and advertising venture, providing professional articles, and marketing for more than 50 companies. In 2011, I moved to Europe to travel and broaden my global perspective. I studied education and moved to the United Arab Emirates, where I am currently the head of the English department at a private school and writing and developing the curriculum. Besides being proficient in Technical Writing, Journalism, and Creative Writing – along with adept administrative and managerial expertise – I am experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Word Suite, LucidChart, Visio, Wix, and Google Docs. I have traveled to 38 countries on four continents since 2011, and I have lived and worked in several of them. As a result, I have developed work relationships with people and businesses in various fields from around the world. My experiences have shaped and molded my skills and have allowed me to adopt a greater understanding and appreciation of people from nearly every aspect of life, religion, race, and culture.
